Thousands have been killed and injured in deadly earthquakes in Afghanistan

In October 2023, three deadly earthquakes of 6.3, 6.4 and 4.7 magnitude struck Afghanistan, tragically taking the lives of more than 2,000 people and leaving thousands injured. More than 3,000 homes have been completely destroyed and the number of people directly affected has risen to more than 40,000, with many families now homeless and in need of aid.
