As we prepare for the blessed month of Ramadan, we are working to improve our marquee so it can serve the community better — especially during winter evenings. Your support will help us create a safe, warm, and welcoming space for worship.
Total Project Cost - £15,500
1️⃣ New Steps & Ramp – £4,550
We’ll build new steps leading up to a wide platform, along with a low-gradient ramp and handrails.
➡️ This will make access much easier for wheelchair users, and elderly visitors.
2️⃣ Marquee Shelter – £3,800
We’ll add a timber-framed shelter with clear Perspex roofing to both sides of the marquee.
➡️ This will protect the entrances from rain — the carpet often gets wet when it rains, making it difficult to keep the marquee clean and comfortable.
3️⃣ AF Sign & Noticeboard – £500
Relocate the Abrahamic Foundation sign to the end of the car park to make it more visible, install a noticeboard and feather sail flags for marketing
4️⃣ New Marquee Double Doorways – £2,200
We’ll install new timber-framed double doors on each side of the marquee.
➡️ This will improve both accessibility and security for the space.
5️⃣ Weatherproofing – £190
We’ll seal all joints with flash banding to stop leaks and keep the structure dry and durable.
6️⃣ Heating for the Marquee – £700 + electrician costs + purchase of heaters - £2600
We’ll install electric heaters to keep the marquee warm during the colder months.
➡️ With Ramadan falling in the winter this year, having proper heating is essential to ensure everyone can pray and gather in comfort.
